Rick Bacon features in the new four-part crime drama Falcón this evening. Lord Of The Rings and The Debt actor Marton Csokas, plays detective Javier Falcón in the two-part drama for Sky Atlantic HD based on Robert Wilson’s bestselling Javier Falcon novels. Hayley Atwell, Emilia Fox, Kerry Fox, Santiago Cabrera, Charlie Creed Mile and Bernard Hill have also joined the cast of the production, which was filmed in Seville. The drama series will be Sky Atlantic’s second original drama commission, following Hit and Miss, which aired in spring 2012. Falcon was commissioned by Anne Mensah, Head of Drama at Sky.
Falcon is being made by Mammoth Screen and will comprise two episodes based on the book The Blind Man of Seville and two based on The Silent and the Damned. Rick Bacon appears in the second story to be adapted The Silent and the Damned, in which a double suicide takes Falcón to an exclusive area of Seville, where wealthy neighbours keep their secrets well hidden and there’s more in the freezer than just food. Stephen Butchard who penned Five Daughters for the BBC is behind the adaptation of the first book, while Sarah Phelps, who has written Great Expectations for the BBC, is behind the adaptation of the second.Overview
