Maria Botto films her second series of Mad Dogs for Left Bank Pictures.


Argentinian-born María Botto grew up in Madrid as part of an extensive acting family. An experienced screen actress, María has a multitude of award nominations and wins, including Best Actress at the Toulouse Film Festival, Best Supporting Actress for the Screen Actors Guild of Spain and two Goya nominations.

María is a familiar face on UK television, most recently in Sky One's Mad Dogs. Feature film includes Let Me Survive, My Life In Ruins, Driving Aphrodite and Carmen.

She recently appeared in the hit Spanish comedy Tres bodas de más and De chica en chica. She also plays Mary Magdalene in the upcoming feature film Risen alongside Joseph Fiennes and Tom Felton. She recently wrapped on the US adaptation of Mad Dogs which will be released on Amazon Prime next year. She joins the cast of Bajo Sospecho which will premiere its second season in 2016.
