Clare Thomas films Young Dracula Series 5

Clare Thomas returns to the set of the BBC hit Young Dracula this week for her fifth series on the show. Clare plays Ingrid Dracula in this popular teenage drama.

Young Dracula is a British teenage horror series airing on CBBC, loosely based on Young Dracula and Young Monsters, a children’s book by Michael Lawrence. Directed by Joss Agnew, the first series was broadcast in 2006.

The programme follows the Dracula family, a family of vampires: Vladimir (Vlad), his father Count Dracula, and older sister Ingrid. Having lived in Transylvania, they move to Stokely, a small town in Wales after various incidents involving angry peasant mobs.


Clare trained at AADA in New York and is best known for her portrayal of Ingrid Dracula (series lead) in seasons 1-5 of the BBC series Young Dracula. Further to this she has had recurring roles in All About George, Life Begins and The Sarah Jane Adventures. Clare's theatre credits include the role of Elizabeth in The Herbal Bed, directed by Michael Attenborough for The RSC.

Clare can currently bee seen in the 5th and final series on Young Dracula for CBBC.
