Amir El-Masry stars as Bolts in Rude Boys alongside comedy actor Jazzie Zonzolo. Rude Boys is one of nine comedy pilots commissioned for online distribution as part of the BBC Comedy Feeds project.

Online sensation Jazzie Zonzolo stars in a brand new sitcom about trying to find a place for yourself in inner-city London.

Jazzie and his mates Sajid, Webby and Bolts are trying to work out what to do with their lives and fit in to their own town, given that they’re too soft to hang out with the hard kids, but utterly confused by all the hipsters who have just moved in to the newly-gentrified neighbourhood.

Throw in to that a general misunderstanding of how to balance their family backgrounds with vital issues like getting girls and generally avoid being humiliated… and life’s a bit confusing.

Rude Boys will be available to watch on BBC iPlayer from Sunday 20th July.

Amir is a recent graduate from LAMDA. He has also had leading roles in feature films, El Talata Yeshtaghalonha and Ramadan Mabrouk Abu El Alamein Hamouda, the latter earning him an Egyptian Oscar for Best Young Actor and national acclaim.

He recently shot the role of Bolts in new BBC3 comedy pilot Rudeboys for director, Ben Gosling Fuller. He has also filmed the role of Alireza in Rosewater directed by US political satirist Jon Stewart. Other television credits include Casualty for BBC TV.

Amir shot in Morocco for season two of Transporter: The Series and also for season two of the FX production, Tyrant as Mousa. Most recently, Amir has been filming The Night Manager as semi-regular character Youssef.
