Sarah Amankwah films The Damnation of Darwin.

Anthony Thomas directs this drama-doc for Rare Day Productions in collaboration with HBO.


Sarah Amankwah trained at the Manchester School of Theatre.

Credits include 24 Hour Plays at the Old Vic, US Tours of A Midsummer Night's Dream and Six Characters In Search of an Author, Sacrifice with the Almeida Theatre and the lead role of Annabella 'Tis Pity She's A Whore for the Globe Theatre.

Sarah is a member of the Imaginarium In-House Repertory Company. Founded in 2011 by Andy Serkis and Jonathan Cavendish, The Repertory Company is made up of in-house actors trained in performance capture.

Recent screen credits include ITV crime drama Marcella. She played Filch in the National Theatre production of The Threepenny Opera, and Venticello in Amadeus (National Theatre).
