Just married. Bored already. Hedda longs to be free…

Ivo van Hove (A View from the Bridge) – one of the world’s most exciting directors – makes his National Theatre debut with a modern production of Ibsen’s masterpiece.

This vital new version by Patrick Marber (Closer, Three Days in the Country) features Ruth Wilson (Luther, The Affair) in the title role and Rafe Spall (Black Mirror, The Big Short) as Brack.

Éva Magyar was born in Budapest, Hungary. She took the UK theatre scene by storm in her performance as Yseult in the National Theatre production of Tristan and Yseult, which the Guardian called astonishing. More recently she has worked extensively in cinema and television, playing roles in the feature films Monte Carlo, X-Men: First Class and Hedda Gabler (National Theatre).
