Daniel Adegboyega begins shooting the role of Rodrigo in the action adventure film The Last Knights.

Clive Owen (Children of Men, Sin City) and Morgan Freeman (The Shawshank Redemption, Se7en) star alongside Daniel Adegboyega in Japanese director Kazuaki Kiriya’s new film. Michael Konyves (Barney’s Version) has written the script, which centers on a band of warriors who seek to avenge the loss of their master at the hands of a corrupt emperor. Luka Production International’s Luci Kim is producing and Route One Film’s Jay Stern, Russell Levine and Chip Diggins serve as executive producers.

Commander Raiden (Clive Owen) lived and breathed the ancient code of the sword, but the era of the warrior was ending. Battle and honour were replaced by stifling protocol and devious politics. After being summoned by the Emperor’s corrupt minister Geza Mott, Raiden’s master, Lord Bartok, defiantly takes the journey to the capital city with his loyal soldiers accompanying him. During his visit, Lord Bartok is unjustly convicted of treason and ordered to endure a painful death. The Bartok clan is stripped of their name and evicted from their lands, leaving Lord Bartok’s family, as well as Raiden and his soldiers, burdened to find a life elsewhere. Raiden must make a decision between his loyalties and survival. In an epic parallel world a group of warriors bound by ultimate honor and loyalty, craft a visually stunning epic with an intricately mastered plot to avenge the death of their fallen leader.
