Arthur Miller’s The Hook opens tonight at the Royal and Derngate theatre with Tim Chipping playing Meathead. This is world premiere from one of the world’s most revered play writes.
Amidst the political tensions of 1950s America, Arthur Miller’s The Hook (The Crucible, All My Sons) was suppressed by the FBI for fear that it could cause unrest in New York’s dockyards.
Directed by James Dacre, the play will run throughout June in Northampton and continue at the Liverpool Everyman untilOverview
Tim Chipping boasts a wide range of leading stage and screen experience, including extensive work for for the RSC and in the West End. Recent theatre credits include Romeo & Juliet at Shakespeare's Globe, Home Chat at the Finborough Theatre, The Man with the Hammer at Theatre Royal Plymouth and The Comedy Of Errors, Twelfth Night and The Crucible for the RSC. He also featured in the world premiere of The Hook by Arthur Miller.
