Tamar Novas will star as Sebastiañ in the new Netflix original, High Seas, which is set to premiere globally in 2019.
The show was created by Ramon Campos and Gema R. Neira and will be directed by Carlos Sedes. It is an 8 part mystery drama series set in the 1940’s on a transatlantic ship full of passengers with a mystery to be solved. A passenger, who no one knows and does not appear on the passenger list, is murdered.
There will be love, intrigues and many lies on a ship that hides a story in each one of its cabins and a dark secret deep inside. The Executive producer Ramos Campos has said “High Seas allows us to return to the genre of mystery in a wonderful environment.”
Tamar Novas has worked prolifically across cinema, television and theatre throughout Spain. He is probably best known for his Goya award winning performance as Javi in The Sea Inside alongside Javier Bardem and Belén Rueda.
Other screen credits include Diego in Broken Embraces for Pedro Almodóvar and Un otoño sin Berlin opposite Irene Escolar which gained awards at the San Sebastián International Film Festival. Tamar has recently played series regulars in Fariña and The Zone.About Sainou
