Susannah Wise can be seen as Gerte in the hotly anticipated prime time drama SS-GB. The five part series airs on Sundays at 9PM on BBC One with the final episode concluding on the 19th March.
Basd on Len Deighton’s 1978 novel, the series imagines how London would have looked in 1941 if Germany had won the Battle of Britain. It focuses on British Detective Douglas Archer (Sam Riley) who is forced to work under the brutal SS in occupied London.
There are pockets of resistance throughout Britain, but after a German pilot is murdered by a British Resistance fighter, tensions in London are higher than ever.
Susannah has worked extensively on the West End as well as on screen.
She was seen as Lily Miller in Ah, Wilderness directed by Natalie Abrahami at the Young Vic, Blurred Lines and The Hush both for the National Theatre. Hero at the Royal Court, A Doll's House and it's revival also for the Young Vic, as well as the Soho Theatre, Lyric Theatre and Manchester Royal exchange.
Her television credits include Denise in Alabama for Apple TV and Helen in The Split Series Two for Sister Picutres/ BBC One. Previous credits include; Emily Hamilton in Father Brown, Wendy Bolt in Mike Bartlett's Press & Inspector Sally Shields in Collateral all for BBC.
