Rhiannon Oliver: Children of the Sun at The National Theatre

Rhiannon begins rehearsals for Children of the Sun with the National Theatre. Howard Davies stages the latest Russian classic to be adapted by Andrew Upton, following their acclaimed collaborations on The Cherry OrchardPhilistines and the Olivier Award-winning The White Guard. Maxim Gorky’s darkly comic play is set in Russia as the country rolls towards revolution.

Performing at the Lyttelton Theatre and previewing from 9th April, Rhiannon will play the part of Avdotya.

Rhiannon Oliver trained at RADA.

She is a regular performer at Shakespeare's Globe, the National Theatre and most recently at Theatre Royal Bath. TV credits include The Cafe for Sky/ JellyLegs, Torchwood for the BBC and most recently, Jamaica Inn also for the BBC.

Recent theatre credits include Avdotya in Children Of The Sun at the Lyttelton, National Theatre and Denise in the Globe Theatre tour of Eternal Love directed by John Dove.

She recently played the role of Catherine Hall in Doctor Scroggy's War at Shakespeare's Globe Theatre, directed by John Dove.

She plays Sor Sebastian in The Heresy Of Love also for John Dove at Shakespeare's Globe.
