Rhianne Barreto is set to play lead role Sophie in Amazon television drama, Hanna.
Written by David Farr and directed by Sarah Adina Smith, the up coming American action drama web series is based on the 2011 film of the same name. Rhianne will star alongside Esme Creed-Miles who is playing Hanna, Joel Kinnaman and Mireille Enos.
The series is currently filming in Budapest and Hungary and will premiere on Amazon Video this year.Overview
Rhianne was born and raised in West London and trained at the The Brit School and National Youth Theatre.
Since graduating she has worked with companies such as the BBC and Film4 in the UK. Most recently she worked with Amazon Studios and Working Title on their new high-concept, coming-of-age series, Hanna, playing lead role Sophie (March 2019 release).
She is the star of A24 and HBO's upcoming feature film Share, which is based on writer/director Pippa Bianco’s short of the same name and won the top Cinefondation Selection prize at Cannes in 2015. Rhianne won a Grand Jury Prize for Acting at Sundance Festival 2019 which marked the film’s world premiere.
She was announced as one of Variety's 10 Brits to Watch and in 2018 she was announced as one of Screen Daily's Stars of Tomorrow, hand selected from an extensive list of outstanding up and coming British talent.About Sainou
