It’s Press Night tonight for Paul Kemp who plays Toad in The Wind in the Willows at the West Yorkshire Playhouse in Leeds. Directed by Ian Brown and choreographed by Sainou’s Lucy Hind, the much loved family riverbank classic has been adapted by Leeds-born Alan Bennett and designed by Colin Richmond. Chief Weasel is played by Sainou’s Jack Whitam and the show runs until 19 January 2013.

The West Yorkshire Playhouse remains at the forefront of the UK’s producing theatres and is currently part-funded by Arts Council England, National Lottery and Leeds City Council. The rest of its income is made up of ticket sales, fundraising and donations. They build and rehearse their own shows and regularly collaborate with other major regional producing theatres and companies, with many of the shows transferring to London’s West End.
