Modupe Adeyeye has been recognised by the panel of this year’s Screen Nation Awards and has been given a special mention in the ‘Emerging Talent’ category. The ceremony will be held this Sunday at the Park Plaza Westminster Bridge Hotel.
The Awards will feature the cream of the black British film & TV scene alongside established stars from the world of sport, music, fashion media and politics.
The 2013 ceremony will see African-American star actor Lou Gossett Jnr., honored with the Outstanding Contribution Award, veteran British actor Joseph Marcell (Fresh Prince of Bel-air) will be honored with the Edric Connor Trailblazer Award and the leading British Jamaican film producer, Paul Bucknor ( The Full Monty) will be presented with a special Vanguard Award. Seminal Jamaican movie The Harder They Come receives special recognition after its 40th anniversary year.

Modupe Adeyeye is best known for her role as Faith in both E20 and Eastenders.
She has since starred as Mischa in Aneil Karia's (Top Boy) debut feature Surge for BBC Films & My Murder for BBC drama alongside John Boyega and Malachi Kirby and most recently as Jayne King in BBC's Our Girl.
Modupe played series regular Blessing in Hollyoaks for Channel 4 and Lime Pictures.About Sainou
