Series two of Hebburn with Liz Hume-Dawson is currently being filmed, the sitcom also features Gina McKee and Vic Reeves.

Hebburn is the home town of stand-up comedian Jason Cook, who created the true-to-life comedy based on his own experiences of growing up in the North East of England. It tells the tale of the Pearson family and their son, Jack (Chris Ramsey), who has left Tyneside for the bright lights and glamour of Manchester. He’s secretly married a middle class Jewish girl, Sarah, and realises that it is about time he introduced her to his family.

Hebburn was one of the shows piloted in 2011 as part of the BBC’s Salford Sitcom Showcase season. Season two will air in early 2014.

Manchester based actress Liz Hume-Dawson has become a household name over her extensive screen career with roles in productions such as Clink, The 4 O'Clock Club, Trollied, Monroe, Bodies, Red Riding Trilogy, The Street, Dinner Ladies, Shameless, Coronation Street,Fat Friends and Sunny D.

Her stage credits include: Everyone Loves A Winner At Manchester's Royal Exchange, as well as directing Macbeth and Up 'n' Under for the Palace Theatre.
