Lena Kaur: Thursday Press Night at Adelaide Festival

Lena Kaur performs to the press in Thursday for English Touring Theatre at this year’s Adelaide Festival.

Brink Productions joins forces with English Touring Theatre, one of the UK’s leading production companies, on a powerful new collaboration.

Taking reference from the remarkable story of Adelaide woman Gill Hicks, who lost her legs in the 2005 London bombings, Thursday layers dreams with reality, compassion with devastation and identity with loss to build a deeply-woven picture of humanity.

The Adelaide Festival, also known as the Adelaide Festival of Arts, is an arts festival held annually in the South Australian capital of Adelaide. It is considered to be one of the world’s greatest celebrations of the arts, and is internationally renowned and the pre-eminent cultural event in Australia.

Begun in 1960, the Adelaide Festival is held in the autumnal month of March. It is actually made up of several events, but overall features include opera, theatre, dance, classical and contemporary music, cabaret, and new media.

Lena theatre credits include: Myth, The Earthworks, Seven Acts of Mercy, The Rover and Two Noble Kinsmenall at The Royal Shakespeare Company. Lena’s writing credits include, Come To Where I’m From, Paines Plough and 'Are You That Girl off the Telly?’, Leicester Square and St James Theatre. She also contributed sketches for Scallywagga , BBC.
