Lena Kaur: Come To Where I’m From

Lena Kaur writes and performs for a special event entitled Come To Where I’m From, a co-production between West Yorkshire Playhouse and Paines Plough.

Come To Where I’m From is a theatrical tapestry of the UK, woven by writers asking if home is really where the heart is.

Since 2010, 88 playwrights from across the UK have returned to their home towns to write plays about the places that shaped them.

At theatres from Bristol to Belfast, Cardiff to Coventry and Nottingham to Newcastle, these plays were performed by the playwrights themselves, coming home to tell their tale.

Lena theatre credits include: Myth, The Earthworks, Seven Acts of Mercy, The Rover and Two Noble Kinsmenall at The Royal Shakespeare Company. Treasure Island National Theatre,Thursday by Bryony Lavery for ETT, title role of Rubina for Birmingham Rep, The Skys the Limit at The Old Vic and most recently The last testament of Lillian Bilocca written by Maxine Peak for Hull Truck/ City Of Culture.

Lena’s writing credits include, Come To Where I’m From, Paines Plough and 'Are You That Girl off the Telly?’, Leicester Square and St James Theatre. She also contributed sketches for Scallywagga , BBC.
