Joivan Wade shoots the role of Benji in The Interceptor for BBC One HD, directed by Farren Blackburn.
The Interceptor is a new, 8 part high-octane crime show from the BBC. Our main character, MAC, a Customs and Excise operative, is frustrated by the small “collars” that are the day to day business of his job. He is headhunted by a dedicated surveillance team known as the UNIT, recruited from various law enforcement agencies to attempt to bring to justice the higher levels of those criminals responsible for organised crime. They keep their quarries under ultra-tight surveillance, they take us into the real world inhabited by the criminals of today.
The world of The Interceptor thrives on the deals and the dangers of the criminal world but also the associated criminal enterprises linked to major crime – the money-laundering, the kidnapping, the violent turf wars as well as the links to organised crime and its twin brother, big business.
The Interceptor will air on BBC One HD later this year.Overview
