Grace Lynn Kung: Fahrenheit 451

Grace Lynn Kung has been announced to join the cast of HBO’s television film Fahrenheit 451.

The telepic, which is in development at the premium cable network, is based on Ray Bradbury’s 1953 classic novel of the same name. The novel depicts a dystopian future where media is an opiate, history is outlawed and “firemen” burn books and revolves around Montag, a young fireman who forsakes his world, battles his mentor and struggles to regain his humanity.

Ramin Bahrani (Noruz Films) is directing and co-writing the script with Amir Naderi. Both executive produce with Sarah Green (Brace Cove Productions, Michael B. Jordan (Outlier Productions), Alan Gasmer and Peter Jaysen. David Coatsworth is producer.


Canadian born Grace Lynn Kung is the star of InSecurity for which she received a Gemini Award nomination for Best Performance by a Lead Actress in a Comedy Series.

Other notable credits include: Star Trek Discovery, Miss Sloane, Being Erica, Designated Survivor, The Expanse, Slings and Arrows and Mary Kills People.

She plays Chairman Mao in HBO's film Fahrenheit 451 and plays recurring guest star Wendy Quon in Frankie Drake Mysteries on UKYV.
