Franc Ashman shoots the role of Lisa Regis in Wagstaffe, a new crime drama pilot for ITV.

A bleak, painful & uncompromising script by Chris Lang (Unforgotten, A Mother’s Son, Torn etc), WAGSTAFFE is a character driven piece rather than a procedural, and focusses on the life and work of D.I. WILL ‘STAFFE’ WAGSTAFFE. The piece is set in the City/Square Mile area of London.

Although cinematic in style & feel, this is not a ‘glossy’ London…it’s a city where many feel unsafe, and one man’s crime is another man’s justice.

Franc Ashman starred as Hermione Granger in the West End production of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child.

She boasts an impressive list of other theatre credits, having performed extensively for the Royal Shakespeare Company and acclaimed theatre company Out of Joint under the direction of Max Stafford-Clark. She has also worked for the National Theatre, recently playing Lorraine in the well-received production of Nine Night.

Screen credits include The Child in Time for the BBC, Apple Tree Yard for Kudos, Sick of it for Sky1 and for film, The Ones Below for Cuba Pictures and A Streetcat Named Bob.

Franc wrote and performed the soundtrack for Gary Oldman’s feature film Nil By Mouth, including the title song ‘Pandora’.
