Femi Elufowoju, jr has performed extensively at the National Theatre and Royal Court, and is the first theatre director of African descent to establish a national touring company in the UK, Tiata Fahodzi. He artistically led the company for 13 years, directing and presenting over 30 plays including his production of Oladipo Agboluaje’s Iya-Ile: The First Wife (nominated for an Olivier Award). He has since served as an Associate at the Almeida Theatre and The Royal Court. His latest directorial venture is The Secret Lives of Baba Segi's Wives , which held its UK premiere at the Arcola Theatre.
He reprised the role of Maccomo in the Complicité production of Lion Boy which played at The New Victory Theatre on Broadway and John Sterling in The Ghost Train at The Manchester Royal Exchange.
On screen he played President Jakob Lokoya across season two of Borgen and featured in both series of the BBC Three comedy Little Miss Jocelyn.
