Dale Meeks films for the popular CBBC show The Dumping Ground.
The Dumping Ground is a 2013 children’s drama. The show broadcasts on the CBBC Channel with 13 half-hour long episodes. The main intention of the spin off is to continue focusing on Jacqueline Wilson’s fictional care home “Dumping Ground” which has been the focus of previous shows The Story of Tracy Beaker (2002–2006) and Tracy Beaker Returns (2010–2012). The spin off will continue to delve into the everyday lives and experiences of young people in care, with new dilemmas, dramas and friendships.
Dale features in the second series which will air in early 2014.Overview
Dale is best known for his leading regular role of Simon Meredith in Emmerdale; other notable screen credits include 5 series on Byker Grove, E4's comedy pilot Kabadasses, Being Human, Downtime,and the BBC comedies Swiss Toni, Hebbur and Grease Monkeys.
Dale has also worked extensively in theatre for Hull Truck, Birmingham Rep, West Yorkshire Playhouse, Manchester Royal Exchange and The Live Theatre/RSC. He played Amos in the No 1 UK Tour of Chicago and was in the original West End cast of The Beautiful Game.
As well as winning ITV1's Celebrity Stars in Their Eyes with his 'Blues Brothers', Dale can be seen singing with his band Shake Ya Tailfeather across the country.
He has recently been shooting for the new series of Inspector George Gently for BBC One which will air let this year, and for Series 2 of The Dumping Ground, also for the BBC.About Sainou
