Haruka Abe: Snake Eyes (Paramount Pictures)

Haruka Abe joins the cast of Paramount Pictures Snake Eyes the GI Joe Movie Spinoff.

“Snake Eyes,” the third live-action film based on the “G.I. Joe” toy line, will focus on the origins of the fan-favorite character known for his masked face, black commando uniform and ninja training. Robert Schwentke, the director of “Red” and “R.I.P.D.,” is set to direct “Snake Eyes” for Paramount and Skydance. The film will be released on Oct. 16, 2020.

Waleed Elgadi plays Colonel Kaveh Afsahani in Gravitas Ventures feature Mosul which premiered at Venice Film Festival this year.

Directed by Matthew Michael Carnahan, the film is based on a New Yorker article—aptly called “The Avengers of Mosul” when it appeared in print—about an elite Iraqi SWAT team who fought back against the rise of ISIS, with each of their number having faced loss or injury at the hands of the terrorist group.

Deborah Ayorinde set to star alongside Kevin Hart, Lil Rel Howery & Paul Reiser in Fatherhood directed by Paul Weitz.

The feature is an adaptation of Matthew Logelin’s book Two Kisses for Maddy. It’s a true account of a father who is forced to raise a child on his own and finds himself wholly unprepared for the challenge.

From Sundance to Cannes; HBO and A24's SHARE starring Grand Jury Prize winner Rhianne Barreto had a Special Screening at the Soixantieme Theatre.

Lou Gala attend the Semaine du Cinéma Positif for the premier of L'un pour l’autre where she starred as lead role Sarah.

Scarlet Grace's directorial debut with short film Guilt screened at That Film Life as part of the festival.
