Timeless hit, The Sound of Music opens to the press tonight at the Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre. Caroline plays the role of Elsa Schraeder, Captain Von Trapp’s sophisticated and dignified fiancé.

Rachel Kavanaugh directs a brand new production that has inspired audiences across the world with its story of love and freedom.

The Sound of Music is a musical with music by Richard Rodgers, lyrics by Oscar Hammerstein II and a book by Howard Lindsay and Russel Crouse. It is based on the memoir of Maria von Trapp, The Story of the Trapp Family Singers.Songs from the musical have become standards, such as “Edelweiss”, “My Favorite Things”, “Climb Ev’ry Mountain”, “Do-Re-Mi”, and the title song “The Sound of Music”.

Overview

Caroline Keiff is a leading West End actress and was in the Original West End cast for both Wicked and Legally Blonde in which she played Vivienne Kensington.

Other notable credits include the title role in Carmen for The Stephen Joseph Theatre, The Sound Of Music for Regent's Park Open Air Theatre, Rose Lennox in The Secret Garden for Birmingham Rep, Far Pavillions at The Shaftesbury Theatre, West End and the workshops Bridget Jones for Working Title Films, Love Never Dies for Cameron Mackintosh and Dusty for NGM.

Caroline is a regular voice artist on the Doctor Who series for Big Finish.
