Bill Thomas films the role of Floyd in Holby City for BBC TV.
The BBC series which was created by Tony McHale and Mal Young as a spin-off from the established BBC medical drama Casualty, has been nominated for over 100 television awards, of which it has won six: the 2008 British Academy Television Award for “Best Continuing Drama”, two Ethnic Multicultural Media Awards and three Screen Nation Awards.
It is set in the same hospital as Casualty, Holby General, in the fictional city of Holby, and features occasional crossovers of characters and plots with Casualty. The show follows the lives of medical and ancillary staff at the fictional Holby City Hospital.

Bill Thomas is one of the most prolific character actors of his generation with over 400 roles on stage, film and television. He is perhaps best known for playing Tom Hensall in all of the BBC Series Cutting It, Charles Vance in the BBC serial The House of Elliott and is affectionately remembered as Tory Boy’s Dad in the long running comedy series Harry Enfield and Chums.
Other notable television credits include The Great Train Robbery, Da Vinci’s Demons for Starz Network, Doc Martin, Outnumbered, New Tricks, Merlin, Midsomer Murders, Foyles War, Great Expectations, Moll Flanders and Trial & Retribution.
