Disney’s Alice Through The Looking Glass hits cinema’s today, with Bill Thomas taking a role alongside an all-star cast including Johnny Depp, Helena Bonham Carter, Mia Wasikowska and Anne Hathaway.

Alice Kingsleigh has spent the past three years following in her father’s footsteps and sailing the high seas. Upon her return to London from Asia, she discovers that things are going very wrong with the Hatter, who is now acting madder than usual, haunted by past events that he refuses to reveal.

Directed by James Bobin, written by Linda Woolverton and produced by Tim Burton, Alice Through The Looking Glass is based on the book by Lewis Carroll and is the sequel to the 2010 film Alice in Wonderland.

Overview

Bill Thomas is one of the most prolific character actors of his generation with over 400 roles on stage, film and television. He is perhaps best known for playing Tom Hensall in all of the BBC Series Cutting It, Charles Vance in the BBC serial The House of Elliott and is affectionately remembered as Tory Boy’s Dad in the long running comedy series Harry Enfield and Chums.

Other notable television credits include The Great Train Robbery, Da Vinci’s Demons for Starz Network, Doc Martin, Outnumbered, New Tricks, Merlin, Midsomer Murders, Foyles War, Great Expectations, Moll Flanders and Trial & Retribution.

Feature film credits include Having You, Song For Marion, Pusher, Abraham's Point, The Calcium Kid and Loving Vincent. Bill also played the co-lead in the Oscar Nominated film Syrup.
