Alex Woodhall plays Colin in Quickfirewhich has its Press Night tonight at JB Shorts in Manchester.

Written by Peter Kerry and directed by Trevor MacFarlane, Quickfire tells the story of a big time stand-up comedian with a chip on his shoulder seeing just how far he can push his material.

Nominated for Best Fringe Production (M.E.N Theatre Awards) and performing since 2009, JB Shorts is a collaboration by RealLife Theatre of 6 short plays by top TV writers.


Alex Woodhall is best known for his regular roles on all of the Star Stories series which was triple BAFTA nominated for Best Comedy Programme. He also played Andrzej in both of the series of the BBC3 comedy White Van Man. Alex has recently completed filming the I Love Television comedy pilot Switch playing lead character Mr Wilkie.

Feature films include Ironclad (Mythic International Ent) and Talos The Mummy (20th Century Fox).

Alex was Resident Comic for LBC Radio, and had a featured spot for BBC Radio 5 Live Breakfast.

Alex has just finished shooting the role of Mr Wilkie in Which is Witch? in Brussels which will air later this year.
