Shelley King: All in Good Time

Shelley King plays Auntie Laxmi and Ozzie Yue plays Mr Dinesh in the feature film comedy All in Good Time.

Released this week, All in Good Time is a film adaptation of Rafta Rafta, the critically acclaimed play that opened at the National Theatre in 2007. Written by Ayub Khan Din (East is East), it is set in Bolton and examines marital difficulties within an immigrant Indian family.

Directed by Nigel Cole, best known for Calendar Girls and Made in Dagenham, Shelley and Ozzie star alongside Meera Syal, Amara Karan and Reece Ritchie.

Overview

Born in Calcutta, Shelley King is a leading Anglo-Indian actress. Television credits include series regular in Tandoori Nights, leads in Banglatown Banquet, The Bill, Silent Witness, Angels, Holby City. She recently played the role of Celandine in Atlantis for BBC TV.

Theatre productions include Women of Troy, The Man of Mode, Tartuffe and Little Clay Cart all for the National Theatre, Bombay Dreams Original West End Cast, Free Outgoing for the Royal Court and Hobson's Choice for the Young Vic. She has also worked extensively with Tara Arts and is also chair of Kali Theatre Company.

Feature Films include Nothing Like This, All In Good Time and Code 46.

Shelley plays Yasmeen Nazir in long running British soap Coronation Street on ITV.
