Rick begins filming The Poison Tree, a psychological thriller about a woman and the extraordinary lengths to protect her family and the secrets she keeps from them.

The Poison Tree is a 2 part drama for ITV. It is an adaptation by Emilia di Girolamo of the best selling book of the same name by Erin Kelly.

Linguistics student, Karen, the first of her working class Warrington family to go to university, finds herself seduced by the Bohemian lives of photography student, Biba, and her mysterious older brother, Rex. Living in a crumbling Highgate mansion, it’s a world full of drug fuelled parties and extraordinary guests, where hedonism, art and passion come first. When Karen walks into their house for the first time, her life is set to change forever. It is the story of an ordinary girl drawn into an extraordinary world.

On stage he has worked for The Salisbury Playhouse, Northampton Royal and Derngate and Nottingham Playhouse.
