The new West End cast of Shrek The Musical has been announced today with Ricardo Coke-Thomas playing the White Rabbit. He joins Jonathan Stewart who plays Pinocchio and Damien Poole who leaves his role of The Mad Hatter to become the new swing.
Produced by Dreamworks Theatricals and Neal Street Productions, and based on the hit book and animation feature film, Shrek The Musical opened in June 2011 at London’s Theatre Royal, Drury Lane and has so far been seen by more than 400,000 people.
Shrek The Musical currently stars Nigel Lindsay as Shrek, Richard Blackwood as Donkey, Nigel Harman as Lord Farquaad and Kimberley Walsh as Princess Fiona and tells the story of the swamp-dwelling ogre who embarks on a life-changing adventure in order to reclaim the deed to his land.Overview
Ricardo Coke-Thomas recently originated the role of Lucky Gordon in Stephen Ward, the new musical composed by Andrew Lloyd Webber and directed by Richard Eyre.
He also performed in the West End musical Shrek in which he played The White Rabbit and covered the leading role of Donkey.
Other notable credits include The Pajama Game at Chichester Festival Theatre, Fela at The National Theatre, Simply Cinderella for Leicester Curve, The Harder They Come for The Barbican/Birmingham Rep and on screen in the feature film Gulliver's Travels for 20th Century Fox.About Sainou
