Ricardo Coke-Thomas: 27 Club

The 27 Club will be performed at The St. Pauli Theatre in Hamburg this week with Ricardo Coke-Thomas in the central role of the Narrator. The show looks at exceptionally talented musicians, that have written music history; but they all have a bizarre connection, they were a member of the “Club 27”. They all died in tragic circumstances at the age of 27.

“The 27th Club” brings the unforgettable music of legends like Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, the former Rolling Stone Brian Jones, the star of The Doors, Jim Morrison, Kurt Cobain of “Nirvana”, the soul lady of the new millennium, Amy Winehouse and other musicians who belong to this legendary club, to the Hamburg stage.

Overview

Ricardo Coke-Thomas recently originated the role of Lucky Gordon in Stephen Ward, the new musical composed by Andrew Lloyd Webber and directed by Richard Eyre.

He also performed in the West End musical Shrek in which he played The White Rabbit and covered the leading role of Donkey.

Other notable credits include The Pajama Game at Chichester Festival Theatre, Fela at The National Theatre, Simply Cinderella for Leicester Curve, The Harder They Come for The Barbican/Birmingham Rep and on screen in the feature film Gulliver's Travels for 20th Century Fox.
