Ozzie Yue opens to the press in the role of Snug in the Liverpool Everyman Playhouse production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream directed by Nick Bagnall.

In a dark Athenian world of law and order, the enchanted forest offers escape. But lurking in the shadows, warring fairies cause confusion and delusion in Shakespeare’s most magical of comedies.

The Everyman explodes once again with an inviting riot of mischief and wonder as Associate Director Nick Bagnall delves deep into the darkness for this timeless take on the delirium of love.

The production follows Bagnall’s bold, beautiful and critically acclaimed Henry VI trilogy for Shakespeare’s Globe and the re-opening of the award-winning Everyman with Gemma Bodinetz’s joyous production of Twelfth Night.

Ozzie Yue is a prolific English actor of Chinese heritage. He is perhaps best known for his television roles in All Quiet on the Preston Front, Father Ted and Harry. Other recent television work includes Doctor Who, Stella, Great Night Out, Rab C Nesbitt, White Van Man, Silent Witness, Come Fly With Me and Katy Brand Big Ass Show.

Ozzie has also appeared in numerous films including All in Good Time, Act of Grace, Syriana, Lara Croft: Tomb Raider, Chromophobia, Croupier and Nuns on the Run.

He played guitar for The Hideaways in The Merseybeat era, and played The Cavern more times than The Beatles. Today he can still be seen playing across the country in his band Yue Hoo.

Ozzie will be appearing in the Fox International Productions feature film Walk like a Panther alongside Stephen Graham which is set for release next spring.
