Nicholas Agnew plays John Coundley in award winning adventure film The Lost City of Z.
A true-life drama, the plot centres on British explorer Percy Fawcett at the dawn of the 20th century as he journeys into the Amazon, where he discovers evidence of an unknown, advanced civilization that may have once inhabited the region. Despite being ridiculed by the scientific establishment, which views indigenous populations as savages, the determined Fawcett, supported by his devoted wife, son, and aide-de-camp, returns to his beloved jungle in an attempt to prove his case.
The film is based on the best selling novel by David Grann and adapted for screen by James Gray who also directs. Other cast include Charlie Hunnam as Fawcett, along with Robert Pattinson as his fellow explorer Henry Costin and Sienna Miller as his wife Nina Fawcett.
The film will be released on DVD and Blu-ray July 11, 2017.
