Mared Swain is the new Associate Director of The Sherman Theatre.

Overview

Since graduating from RWCMD in 2003, Mared has worked extensively as an actress in theatre, television and radio. She has written two short films, and was part of a writing team for Dominos for Theatr Genedlaethol Cymru, and has storylined the series Caerdydd with Fiction Factory for S4C.

Since 2007 she has been directing theatre and has been co-producer of Dirty Protest Theatre Company, a Cardiff based new writing company staging short plays. Mared has directed new plays which have been performed in venues including The Camden Roundhouse, Latitude Festival, Wales Millennium Centre, Sherman Cymru and Galeri in Caernarfon, alongside many fringe venues around Cardiff.
