Lucy Hind’s award winning theatre company Slung Low open their new performance Converging Paths: Darkness at the Sun Court at the Spa Complex, Scarborough tomorrow.
Converging Paths comprises 5 new pieces of performance that taken together are the adaptation of Matthew David Scott’s novel The Ground Remembers. Following Scarborough the tour continues with four more stand-alone but interconnected pieces at venues around the country.
OverviewLucy trained in choreography, mime and physical theatre at Rhodes University, South Africa and went on to perform with the celebrated First Physical Theatre Company.
Since arriving in the UK she has worked as Movement Director and Performer in many acclaimed British theatres, including the Almeida, Barbican, Lowry, Liverpool Everyman, West Yorkshire Playhouse and the New Vic in Stoke.
Lucy is a member of the award winning Slung Low, a selector for the National Student Drama Festival and was also recently awarded a Cultural Olympiad 'Unlimited' commission with dancer David Toole and will create work for the Birmingham International Dance Festival.
