Josie Kidd plays Ada in tonight’s Call The Midwife, on BBC One at 9pm.

She joins fellow Sainou client Max Macmillan as series regular Timothy Turner in the hit BBC period drama series about a group of nurse midwives working in the East End of London in the 1950s and 1960s.

In tonight’s episode, with modern advances starting to change things for the better, even medical professionals like Dr Turner and Shelagh are forced to consider their own lifestyles. As they fight for better respiratory health for their patients, Timothy (Sainou’s Max Macmillan) realises the risks his parents are running by continuing to smoke.

Overview

Josie Kidd has worked extensively on both stage and screen and holds an impressive list of credits. Most recently she has filmed The Crown for Netflix, Call the Midwife for ITV, Starlings for Baby Cow, Midsomer Murders for Bentley Productions and Silent Witness for BBC Television.

She played Mrs Schumacher in the West End production of Dirty Dancing and Dorothy in Glorious in the West End and on tour. She has also performed at Oldham Coliseum, Northampton Theatre Royal and Trafalgar Studios.
