Josh Casswell plays Luke Allingdon in the daytime drama Doctors. Set in the fictional midlands town of Letherbridge, the series has been a BBC1 favourite since 2000, picking up a variety of different nominations and awards.

Doctors films in Birmingham and follows the lives of the staff and patients at the busy Mill Health Centre and Campus Surgery. The format of each episode typically sees the doctors and nurses of the practice meeting their patients, both at the surgeries and on house calls, dealing with their medical complaints alongside other continuing story lines.

The series is produced by BBC Birmingham, with the first episode broadcast on 27th March 2000. It was created by Chris Murray, developed by Mal Young and originally produced by Carson Black.

Overview

Doncaster born Josh Casswell filmed the co-lead on new British feature Taken In.

His more recent work includes Doctors for BBC Television and Blackout for Raw TV and Channel 4.
