Joivan Wade plays Failia in the new E4 drama series Youngers alongside fellow Sainou actors Dee Kartier and Percelle Ascott.

E4, the channel that launched Skins, The Inbetweeners and Misfits, flagships this new 8 x 30′ drama series from Big Talk Productions set in the UK urban music scene. Youngers is written by Levi David Addai (My Murder, Micah – part of C4’s Coming Up new talent season), Georgia Lester (Skins) and Mark Catley (Eggbox, Casualty) and stars YouTube hit Mandem On The Wall aka BRIT school graduates Jovian Wade, Percelle Ascott and comedy actor Dee Kartier.

Mandem On The Wall is an original idea charting the lives of 3 youths, their lives and their wall. The comedy series has exploded online since its inception in August 2011 and is now to feature throughout the Youngers series.

Executive producer Luke Alkin commented: “British urban music has gone mainstream but artists like Dizzee Rascal and Tinie Tempah were just like the characters in the series a few years ago, making music in their bedrooms and showcasing it on the internet.

“Levi David Addai captures this world in an incredibly fresh, funny and positive way. His characters are inner-city teenagers with dreams and ambitions for the future – and this is what makes Youngers feel so original and exciting.”

Joivan Wade trained at Brit School, and was a member of The National Youth Theatre.

He's co writer and star of the critically acclaimed online comedy series Mandem on The Wall, and is a series regular in two series of E4's Youngers.

He can also be seen in Big School for BBC One alongside David Walliams and Catherine Tate, and also features in BBC programmes, The Interceptor, Pompidou and the television pilot of Rudy's Rare Records. He starred as Rigsy in recent Series 8 of Doctor Who to massive critical acclaim and will return for Series 9.

On stage, Joivan starred in the stage adaptation of Rudy's Rare Records opposite Lenny Henry at Hackney Empire. He later performed in Mandem On The Wall Live at Hackney Empire, co-written by Percelle Ascott, Dee Kartier and himself.

Joivan then joined the cast of Eastenders as Jordan Johnson.

Joivan is co represented with Atlas Artists in LA.
