James Alper plays Jack Colville in Three Days in May which won Best New Play at the What’s Onstage Awards 2012 on Sunday 19th February.
Currently running at the Trafalgar Studios, Three Days in May looks at Churchill’s 1940 battle with his cabinet to keep Britain in the war. Written by Ben Brown and directed by Alan Strachan, the play transferred from the Theatre Royal Windsor after touring the UK.Overview
James trained at The Webber Douglas Academy.
His recent theatre includes the leading role of Jock Colville in Three Days in May at The Trafalgar Studios and Theatre Royal Windsor and Damian in Greenland at The National Theatre. Other notable credits include White House Murder Case, Much Ado About Nothing, Fram and The Hothouse all for The National Theatre, Achidi J for Che Walker and Poirot.
James is also a leading voice artist and is the narrator on the ITV1 series Cheetah Kingdom as well as many BBC Radio plays.
He has recently filmed Vendetta alongside Danny Dyer which is set for release later this year. James is now performing in the first ever UK tour of War Horse as Stewart.About Sainou
