Dale Meeks records Arthur in the BBC radio play It’s Grim Up North.
Written by playwrights Ed Waugh and Trevor Wood, It’s Grim Up North is a radio sitcom which follows the exploits of a group of Roman auxiliary soldiers building Hadrian’s Wall in AD126.Overview
Dale is best known for his leading regular role of Simon Meredith in Emmerdale; other notable screen credits include 5 series on Byker Grove, E4's comedy pilot Kabadasses, Being Human, Downtime,and the BBC comedies Swiss Toni, Hebbur and Grease Monkeys.
Dale has also worked extensively in theatre for Hull Truck, Birmingham Rep, West Yorkshire Playhouse, Manchester Royal Exchange and The Live Theatre/RSC. He played Amos in the No 1 UK Tour of Chicago and was in the original West End cast of The Beautiful Game.
As well as winning ITV1's Celebrity Stars in Their Eyes with his 'Blues Brothers', Dale can be seen singing with his band Shake Ya Tailfeather across the country.
He has recently been shooting for the new series of Inspector George Gently for BBC One which will air let this year, and for Series 2 of The Dumping Ground, also for the BBC.About Sainou
